Hi Brett. The stock muffler will come off by loosening some bolts and twisting. The Jardine or Supertrap will "slip on" over the existing head pipe. Good idea is to use some high temperature sealant where the muffler goes over the pipe. Either one will probably come with spacer rings to take up slack between the original pipe and new muffler. No welding required. With my Jardine, I removed the white spacer in the carb and dialed out the low end carb screw to richen the mix and reduce backfires. This is not the same as rejetting.
